Significant Weather Event Impacting District Roads in Muskoka

The District of Muskoka says that road conditions in Muskoka are challenging, following 30 cm of snow that fell overnight in Muskoka Lakes and Huntsville. Crews are working to clear the roads, but with more snow expected, drivers are urged to proceed with caution.
In Gravenhurst, all District roads are open to local traffic only, allowing residents to access their homes. Affected roads include Muskoka Road 6, Muskoka Road 13, Muskoka Road 19, and Muskoka Road 20.
Towing of stranded vehicles is underway, which may temporarily reduce some roads to one lane, but they remain passable for local traffic.
