Hwy 11 open in both directions

Highway 11 has reopened in both directions between Orillia and Huntsville after a major snowstorm stranded hundreds of vehicles.
Crews worked around the clock to clear snow, assist motorists, and respond to emergencies, while many drivers were stuck for hours.
Local volunteers helped by providing food, water, and transportation to warming centers. While traffic is moving again, the on- and off-ramps at Luigi Road remain closed due to snow buildup.
The OPP are advising drivers to stay prepared, check road conditions, and drive safely for the weather conditions.
