Emergency crews still working to clear roads and restore power

The OPP and emergency crews are still working to clear snow and provide essential support following this weekend’s storm. Police say that six tractor-trailers remain stuck on secondary roads, delaying snow removal and hydro restoration efforts. Roads currently closed include Houseys Rapids, Uffington, Southwood, Beiers, and the northbound ramp at Luigi Road.
While Highway 11 has reopened, the OPP urges motorists to slow down, stay alert, and plan their trip by checking road conditions on the Ministry of Transportation website at 511on.ca.
Emergency services are assisting local residents with food, water, and transportation to warming centres, and efforts are underway to deliver fuel to affected gas stations.
