Police provide update on Hwy 11 crash
The Huntsville OPP is providing an update to a motor vehicle collision on Highway 11 northbound at Highway 60 that occurred this morning.
Police say the crash involved a passenger car and a commercial motor vehicle. As a result, Highway 11 is closed at Ravenscliffe Rd, with traffic being rerouted through Huntsville towards Highway 60.
Emergency services, including the Huntsville Fire Department and Muskoka Ambulance, responded to the scene. The driver of the car was taken to hospital with significant injuries.
The OPP’s Technical Collision Investigation Unit is currently on site, and the investigation is ongoing.
Motorists are advised to avoid the area and use alternate routes to continue northbound on Highway 11.
The closure will remain in effect until the investigation is complete.
