Health care took center stage at Wednesday’s Parry Sound-Muskoka provincial election debate, broadcasted by YourTV Muskoka.

Candidates discussed plans for two new Muskoka hospitals, healthcare shortages, mental health supports, housing, and infrastructure.

Attending were Green Party’s Matt Richter, PC incumbent Graydon Smith, and NDP’s Jim Ronholm. Liberal David Innes was invited but did not attend.

Smith highlighted his role in securing a $1 billion hospital commitment, the NDP’s Ronholm stressed community input, while Green Party candidate Matt Richter vowed to continue fighting for better healthcare.
