About Tricia Markle:
I was born in Scotland but was raised on a sheep farm in Lincolnshire. Emigrating to Canada in the 6o’s I met my husband in Sarnia and moved to Huntsville after we were married.
Before having my family, I worked for Drs Cloutier and Ascah. Once my sons were in school, I worked at Flotron’s for20 years.
Growing up next to the old Roman city of Lincoln history was very relevant to me and upon retirement I became involved with Muskoka Pioneer Village (now Muskoka Heritage Place) being President of the Friends of M.P.V. for many years and operating the Friends and Co. Store.
As one of the founding members of the Huntsville and Area Historical Society and now secretary, I have maintained a keen interest in local heritage.
I also volunteer at Huntsville Hospice, Algonquin Theatre and until recently managed the 100k market.
