Find out what's in your lake water on Sept. 15
The Friends of the Muskoka Watershed are inviting residents to find out what’s swimming in your lake water? Find out on Sunday, September 15, as they host a "Peer Beneath the Surface," guided cruise on Lake Rosseau aboard the Peerless tour boat.
Join top freshwater scientist Dr. Norman Yan and explore the tiny organisms living in the lake. Organizers say that you'll get a close-up look at creatures like Daphnia, which keep our waters clean by feeding on algae.
The cruise, running from 10 a.m. to noon, is part of the organization’s efforts to tackle local environmental issues. Tickets are $64 and available at FOTMW.org.
