Emergency Preparedness Week starts Sunday

The Town of Bracebridge is reminding residents that Emergency Preparedness Week runs from May 5th to 11th.
This year's theme is "Plan for Every Season," highlighting Ontario's seasonal challenges and the need for year-round emergency preparedness.
Residents are urged to take simple steps to safeguard themselves and their families including:
- Understanding local risks, including extreme weather and power outages in Muskoka.
- Develop and practice a home escape plan.
- Assemble a 72-hour emergency kit. and
- Utilize the Voyent Alert app for location-based notifications.
